Discovering the Future of Health Optimization with Dr. David Haase

Hello everyone, I’m Dr. David Haase, and I’m excited to take you on an enlightening journey into the world of Habitat Optimizing Plasma Exchange (H.O.P.E.). Today, I have the pleasure of sitting with my dear friend George, who is currently undergoing his 29th plasma exchange. George’s proactive approach to health has led him to experience the incredible benefits of plasma exchange, not just for optimizing his health and performance, but also for addressing substantial health issues.

What is Plasma Exchange?

Plasma exchange, also known as therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) or plasmapheresis, is a cutting-edge medical procedure designed to cleanse the blood and optimize the environment where our cells function. This treatment goes beyond merely removing toxins; it focuses on creating an optimal habitat for stem cells throughout the body, enhancing their ability to repair and regenerate.

What is H.O.P.E. ?

H.O.P.E. stands for Habitat Optimizing Plasma Exchange, our patented process that enhances the traditional Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) by integrating targeted augmentation strategies tailored to the individual. Our philosophy is simple yet profound: every cell in our body resides in a habitat — the plasma. By optimizing this habitat, we create the best conditions for health, akin to preparing the most fertile soil for seeds to flourish. In this analogy, the ‘soil’ is the plasma that nurtures your cells, and the ‘seeds’ are your stem cells, ready to activate and repair whenever the body needs.

The Science Behind H.O.P.E.: How Plasma Exchange Works

Elevate Your Health with Habitat Optimizing Plasma Exchange (HOPE) in Nashville, TN

  1. Personalized Patient Care:
The cornerstone of H.O.P.E. is the patient. We understand that no two people are the same, and generic medical procedures do not provide optimal care. Every plasma exchange procedure at MaxWell Clinic is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring the highest level of personalized care.
  2. Peripheral Access for Safety:
We begin with a blood donation from the patient through regular IVs, known as peripheral access. This method is safer compared to the central line used in hospital settings, significantly reducing the risk of infections, blood clots, and other complications.
  3. Utilizing State-of-the-Art Equipment:
The blood is processed through the Fenwal Amicus machine, the most advanced apheresis device available today. This machine mixes the blood with an anticoagulant to prevent clotting and then separates the components using a centrifuge.
  4. Detailed Separation Process:
In the centrifuge, heavier components like cells and platelets sink, while lighter plasma floats. The plasma is siphoned off into a receiving bag, and the cells are directed into another channel.
  5. Custom Augmentation Fluid:
One of the unique aspects of our plasma exchange program at MaxWell Clinic is the use of custom augmentation fluid. The separated plasma is mixed with pharmaceutical-grade albumin and a customized augmentation fluid specific to the patient's needs. This personalized mixture is tailored to reduce side effects and enhance the cellular habitat, setting our program apart from others.
  6. Returning to the Patient:
The final mixture is returned to the patient. This entire process takes between one hour and forty-five minutes to three and a half hours, depending on various factors such as the patient's veins and overall health.
